My heart is always full of gratitude and respect for every serviceman and servicewoman, past and present. Today is a day set aside to honor those soldiers who lost their lives serving our country and protecting its’ citizens. I am humbled by their sacrifice and my heart also aches for their loved ones. I pray that they can find peace in their loss and that are comforted by millions of heartfelt thanks.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you honor a hero!!!
It’s Independence Day! The 4 of July! I love celebrating this holiday! I feel so blessed to be a part of this beautiful country of ours. I don’t care that we aren’t perfect. The freedoms, rights and liberties that we enjoy here are priceless. I refuse to take them for granted too. I am thankful for those who have fought for them and those who continue to fight for them. To benefit so tremendously from their bravery, selflessness and sacrifice, humbles me! And no matter what turmoil we as a country may face, I will still delight in being a citizen of this great country.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you are proud to be an American!!!
It is imperative that we never forget them. We must deeply regard their bravery and always honor their memory, by being grateful and humbled by their sacrifice. To do anything less is utterly inconceivable to me.
Well, I hope you all have a respectful Memorial Day!!!
We had an overcast and cool Veteran’s Day, that I spent most of on my lazy butt. I’ve had the opportunity to read a lot of articles and watch news clips about veterans and Veteran’s day. I am just so humbled by these amazing men and women who put their lives on the line for us … every … single … day . Completely selfless actions by so many, who truly get so little in return. Their commitment and bravery are awe inspiring. I am so very thankful for their service. For the freedoms they protect. And for the safety they ensure us every day.
Well, I hope you all have a day where your heart is filled with respect and gratitude!!!
Today my day was simple. It was a day at home with my H-Crew. We ate hotdogs and hamburgers and hung out. I even got a nap and a run in. It was nothing special at all … really.
But is that true? Was it REALLY nothing special?
My day was not filled with worries about guns or bombs or terrorists. I knew my H-Crew and I were safe. We could come and go as we pleased. We could virtually do, say and be anything we wanted.
We were free … just to be.
Today we lived a life allowed to us because someone (MANY MANY MANY someones) made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. It doesn’t matter what you did today, whatever it was, it was a gift given to us by another human being who laid their life down for us … and THAT is pretty darn special.
Well, I hope you all had a day where you honored a hero!!!
