Too excited to sleep …

I couldn’t fall asleep last night and I woke up at 3:30 a. m. this morning.

WHY?!?!

Because after two months away at college I FINALLY get to see my son George today. It’s his university’s family weekend. YAY! And get this! Sid has arranged to spend some time with me today too! I get to spend time with BOTH my big kids! WOO HOO!

Well, I hope you all have a day where you are too excited to sleep!!!

Cleaning supplies and poor timing …

Sooooo I commited to a Mrs. Meyer’s Cleaning Product subscription and I can’t wait to receive my first shipment! And no, NEVER in a million years could I have imagined myself being THIS excited to receive cleaning supplies in the mail. HA! But I have been using their products for a while now and really like them! Before committing to the subscription I determined that I had enough of my cleaning supplies to get me through until my shipment arrived. NOPE. I am out of hand soap and I can do two more loads of laundry then I’m out of that too. Running out of these two particular products in THIS house is NOT an option! So even though I have an entire box filled with wonderful cleaning products being delivered to my very home TOMORROW … I’m going to have to go shopping TODAY to get more. UGH.

Well, I hope you all have a day where you don’t have poor timing!!!

Bugging …

My oldest daughter Sidney has mastered surprise visits home. Heck, she’s mastered them when we are on travel! This kid is GOOD. Today, however, she is flying home and I know about it. And WOW, in the past few hours I’ve learned a lot of new things. One being, that I am a lot overzealous and probably a teensy weensy annoying. HA! In my excitement I have text Sid TOO MANY times today. Like WAY too many. But it helped me figure out why Sid likes to add the element of surprise to her visits. It keeps me out of her hair!

Well, I hope you all have a day where you don’t bug someone!!!

Raring to go …

We had a long day and a late night yesterday. ALL GOOD! We are kicking off September with some traveling fun for Libs and Reese, who’s birthdays are just around the corner. I’ve decorated our suite for the occasion too. We have traveled enough around holidays and special events that this has become my “thing”. My family things I’m a little kooky for doing it, but I love it! I enjoy decorating even when we aren’t at home because it makes it even more festive! Despite being up late I found myself awake insanely early agin. I am above and beyond excited to start our day … but everyone is still asleep. Ugh!

Well, I hope you all have a day where you are raring to go!!!

Put yourself out there …

I woke up this morning to cloudy skies and a happy heart. There is a lot going on for our little family today. I don’t want to go into any details yet. I’ll just say that we have some loved ones taking some good “risks” and really stepping out of their comfort zones to try new things. I absolutely LOVE that they are taking chances on themselves and going for it! It all makes me so proud!

Well, I hope you all have a day where you put yourself out there!!!

You got this …

I absolutely love my new Fitbit. It “talks” to me way more than my last one. It can be a little bossy when it wants me to get moving. But in the morning it always has something positive to say. It gives me that last little bit of encouragement that helps me get out the door to go run. It seems silly, but I actually look forward to seeing what it has to say. Like this morning, I woke up early and motivated to get out there and work on my pace. Last week I kept all my runs easy as it was my first week back to running after my race. But this morning I was looking to get a little more out of my run. I was pretty excited! And I guess my new Fitbit was too because it “told” me exactly what I needed.

Well, I hope you all have a day where YOU GOT THIS!!!

Tapping back in …

Sooooo … I have a race on Sunday. I haven’t raced since last July and that was just for fun when I was in Alaska with friends. Sunday will be fun too but it’s also me officially starting to race seriously again. It is both scary and exciting. Getting sick messed with my mind, body and soul. I’ve slowly crept out of the funk it put me in and I feel like I’m finally owning that my heart is vested in my dreams again. I’m a LONG way off from achieving them. Trust me, Sunday’s race will be slow and steady to the finish. No where near my old finishing times. But you know what? I am going to appreciate every single second of it because those footsteps are the beginning of me believing in myself again.

Well, I hope you all have a day where you tap back in!!!
