We have had a busy summer. It's been fun but we have been on the go since George's graduation day in June. It's honestly been a whirlwind. The past few days we have had at home we spent catching up on life. And by life I mean laundry, HA! Well, that was part of it anyway. But we also had even more running around to do. Ugh. Next week Sid is moving into her new house and George will be moving into his dorm. So we had lots of shopping and packing that needed to be done this week. Not to mention Libs and Reese! Luckily they have a few more weeks of summer left so I still have some time to get their back-to-school things in order. Thank. God.
Last night George and I finished the last of our errands to get him ready for college. I felt so relieved! So relieved that I think my body shut down when I went to sleep last night. I woke up in the same position I fell asleep in. Ouch. And I was rudely reminded by my body that I drank no water yesterday. How is that even possible?!?! Busy anxious mom-ness is how that is possible! Needless to say I was so dizzy when I woke up that I could hardly walk. I guess my body has had quite enough of this summer schedule and has decided it's time for me to rest. OK, fine … I'll reluctantly listen.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you aren't spinning!!!
I wear a lot of hats but today I wear one of my favorites! I did all of my usual pre-4th of July party errands. And it was so much FUN! I just love this stuff!
Well, I hope you all have a day where you are a party planner!!!
Nothing like applying tanner then running out to do some errands … in the rain.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you don’t look like a speckled giraffe!!!
I didn’t think it was even a possibility but yesterday really tired me out. I slept well, but definitely woke up feeling IT. I’m certainly sore and kinda sluggish. Thank goodness G3 was willing to cart my tush around because I would have never gotten everything done today without someone driving me around and telling me to “hurry up”. HA!
Well, I hope you all have a day that doesn’t include a yoga hangover!!!
A summary of my day. Running errands. Here to there, EVERYWHERE. Doing chores. EW. Handling DISASTERS. One is quite enough. Phone calls. No really, I have THAT many children. Paperwork, lots. AND LOTS. In conclusion: MEH and BLAH.
Well, I hope you all had a day where you sat around eating bonbons!!!
I made a promise to myself that I would have all the little Thanksgiving errands finished up, along with getting our house in order, by this evening. I know I have a whole week before Thanksgiving, but I really want to just enjoy the next 10 days. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I love when my kids are on school breaks so this is one of my favorite weeks of the year. I like to leisurely add to our decorations, bake, pick up around the house and go food shopping without the nagging stress of all the little things.
We are kicking off this 10-day fun fest with Reese’s Kindergarden Feast tomorrow. LOVE! Then we have a mini RUN-cation planned for my son George and I. I have a race on Saturday and he is volunteering at it for community service hours. So we will be staying overnight in San Diego. Sidney flies home Wednesday, which has me THRILLED! I can’t wait to see her! And then we have our annual Henry Thanksgiving Day Extravaganza, HA! We have so much FUN! Of course you can’t forget our annual Black Friday shopping tradition, which also includes a virtual 5K this year too. And a medal! TOO FUNNY! This will be Libs second year out with Sid and I. I am so excited! I wasn’t sure Libs was convinced that getting up at 1:30 in the morning to shop for hours on end was much fun last year. But she says she is ALL IN!
We also have some other family fun stuff planned too, so suffice it to say, that I am really looking forward to the next 10 days. And it was totally worth exhausting myself over the past three days to be able to enjoy it the way I had hoped.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you get it all done!!!
