We are on day two of the Daylight Savings aftermath. HA! And for some strange reason I woke up at 4:40 a.m. which was our old 3:40 a.m. I was wide awake too. This isn’t how it usually works. I’m not usually awake earlier, I’m usually struggling to wake up “on time”! At least that is how it has gone in past years. But I guess not this year. Which is weird. And confusing. And makes me think that this may all come back to haunt me later today.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you don’t ZONK OUT!!!
Living in California we must deal with Daylight Savings twice a year. And THIS was one of THOSE weekends. OY. Although I tolerate SPRINGING FORWARD much better than I do FALLING BACK, it’s all still brutal. BRU.TAL.
Well, I hope you all have a day where your aren’t ravaged my exhaustion and confusion!!!
I woke up at about 5:00am this morning. Sad for a weekend! I wasn’t tired anymore and, as much as I tried, I couldn’t fall back to sleep. At 7:00am I gave up altogether figuring Reese would be awake soon.
But that was not the case … and I was baffled.
Then the ugly truth it HIT ME. Daylight Savings. EW. And even more EW was the realization that my 5:00am wake-up was ACTUALLY our old 4:00AM! Ugh …
Well, I hope you all have a day where you figure it out!!!
Aaaaaaand it’s Daylight Savings time again. Swell.
Well, I hope you all don’t feel discombobulated for the next two weeks!!!
I love this day! I woke up feeling great this morning. That time change had kicked my but this year! I felt like I woke up tired all week. I got a good run in and a yoga class. Gosh, I needed both. BADLY! Then I spent some time with Sid and Reese at our local arboretum that was hosting their annual Veggie Palooza. G3 and Libs didn’t want to go. Apparently not all teenagers find vegetables fun. HA! Anyway, we came home and just chilled out around the house TOGETHER. Boy oh boy, it sure is nice having all the kids at home.
Well, I hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday!!!
Let me be the first to say that yoga and daylight savings are not a good combination. Normally I love going to my yoga classes, but it took every fiber of my being to get to my class tonight. I was exhausted. And I can also attest to the fact that no one on earth wants to lower themselves into Chaturanga when they could hardly drag themselves into class. Oh. My. God. I did not “nail” that pose. Not to mention the devastation you feel after finally lowering your body to the floor and being able to lay their briefly … only to have to FLING yourself back up into a plank and then a downward dog. It was like “Oh looky body we can finally lay down and sleep … NOPE!” Honestly, it was almost cruel. And then to lay in Shavasana for a few minutes with your eyes closed, only to have to sit back up and drove home! Oh. Heck. No. If they had thrown a blanket over me I would have slept there until morning
Well, I hope you all had a day where your realized that not everything is meant to go together!!!
As if daylight savings isn’t bad enough to through me off, my crazy cell phone isn’t helping. Not. At. All.
If you have known me for any length of time you know that every phone that I have had has been possessed. No. Really. You don’t have to believe me but I have had friends and family witness the crazy that is spewed from my phones. Today was no exception.
Before I go any further I should let you know that my phone’s name is LOLA. The reason I named her this is because ever since I got her (a year ago this month) it has changed “LOL” too “LOLA”. No joke. I can’t get it to stop. So I gave in and named her LOLA.
Anyway, yesterday LOLA appeared to have adjusted just fine to the time change. But today she has been less than accepting of the idea. She has gone back and forth several times between our “new” time and our pre-daylight savings time. It is so weird … the time switch thingy … and yes … that I named my possessed phone LOLA.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you can make up your mind!!!
