Happiness is not something given to you. It is work. It is not caused by one event or happening. It doesn’t come from getting exactly what you want. And if you are looking to have it show up under only the best of circumstances, you are going to miss out on a whole lot of life in the meanwhile. Happiness can be found even in difficult times. Even when you don’t get what you want and also when things don’t turn out the way you had hoped. Happiness is merely a choice … it really is as simple as that.
