Where we live Fall is more a state of mind. We have a few hints of Fall weather here and there, but honestly, it’s just a less hot version of summer. Typically this doesn’t bother me, but some years I can’t wait to get a glimpse of changing leaves and cooler temperatures. This is one of those years. And since our weather is just barely cooperating I have decided that today is the day for an autumn adventure. If Mother Nature isn’t brining Fall to us, then we will go and find it!
Well, I hope you all have a day where you take matters into your own hands!!!
I have traveled around California quite a few times. However, after traveling up and down the state several times over the past year I’ve come to two conclusions. First, California is beautiful. I have lived here since I was two years old and I can’t believe how much of this state is still left to be explored. It seems like each and every mile of it contains a breathtaking unique element that is just waiting to be discovered. And that brings me to my second conclusion. There is no rhyme or reason to California’s weather temperatures. HA!
But no, really.
In the past few days of travel alone we experienced a 50 degree swing in temperatures. That is just crazy! We saw temps in the 50s and at one point we passed through an area that was 109 degrees. Whoa. Seriously California, make up your mind!
Well, I hope you all have a day filled with hot and cold adventures!!!
Southern California is supposed to be getting some serious rain today. So far, where I am, it’s been a little windy and somewhat rainy. It’s been quite a few years since we have had any considerable rainfall, so I’m not sure if all the “hype” is going to be realized in a Noah’s Ark size storm. Perhaps we’re all just a little shocked that it’s actually raining again. HA!
Well, I hope you all have a day where something BIG happens!!!
We have rain. Finally. It has literally been the talk of the town for days. Everyone I know was checking and comparing the weather apps on their phones. First my app said no rain whatsoever. Then it had rain predicted for the past two days. Nope. No rain. At least not where we live. Until today. And it’s good, because we need it.
Incidentally, I still don’t like rain. Actually, it’s nice to look at and listen to. But I tend to have the same feelings about rain as I do when I visit a zoo. I don’t mind the experience as long as I don’t come into direct contact with anything. HA!
Well, I hope you all have a day where it doesn’t touch you!!!
It has been a very long time since we have experienced the cold, wind and rain all in one day around here. But today, we did. And get this! I actually liked it. So weird.
Well, I hope you all had a day that felt like winter!!!
I am not one to complain about the heat. I usually LOVE IT. Seek it. I mourn it when it’s gone. Ummm, but the last time I checked it was 106 degrees at 4:13 p.m. … and it’s OCTOBER 9th!
Come the heck on! That is not normal. Right. Or just. I have one question: Did we all die and go to HELL?!?!
Well, I hope you all have a day where you are OVER IT!!!
We have been having ups and downs with our weather in Southern California lately. Mild, cold with rain or summer heat … sometimes all rolled in to ONE WEEK! Saturday I was freezing all day. It was so cold (well, for us it was anyway). Now today it was so hot I think my sweat was sweating (I really hope that’s not even possible). Don’t get me wrong, I love the heat but I like the process of getting used to it. I love how summer weather comes on gradually and how the heat creeps in day after summer day. Not this BAM it time to sweat the day after BOOM get those parkas out. It’s down right crazy making.
Well, I hope you all had a day where things evened out!!!
