Up and at ‘em …

The girls and I all seemed to naturally wake up at the same time this morning. Which is REALLY good because it’s a busy Saturday around here. And it’s GO TIME!

Well, I hope you all have a day where you are up and at ‘em!!!

The sound of rain …

I should be irritated. It woke me earlier than I normally wake up. And it immediately made me think of 10 things that I needed to do because it finally showed up. Thank God I took the trash cans out to the curb last night! I also resentfully decided that I wasn’t running in it either. I cursed it’s unpredictability.

But not for long and definitely not like I used to.

As I have grown older I don’t mind it. Before I saw it as an indicator of a more difficult day. ESPECIALLY when my crew was really little. But now, not so much. It’s nice. It makes me feel cozy. And a whole lot LAZY. A friend recently described me as the busiest person that they knew. So maybe a HAULT in my normal routine is something that I have come to appreciate. Trust me, it doesn’t disrupt my day to the point where I turn into a NOT busy person. But it’s enough to slow me down and it allows me enjoy a few peaceful moments that I would have missed otherwise.

Well, I hope you all have a day where you enjoy the sound of the rain!!!

A pinball machine …

Tennis. Home. Dance. Tennis. Dance. Food. Tennis. Home. Tennis. MORE food. And COFFEE. Good lord, MORE tennis. Food AGAIN. Home. BED.

Well, I hope you all had a day where you learned what it feels like to be a pinball machine!!!

Keep going …

I stayed up late last night and woke up ridiculously early this morning. To be precise, I was up after midnight and somehow managed to wake up at 4 a.m. Three hours before my alarm was set to go off. THREE. We have a busy schedule ahead of us so I really hope that this energy stays with me for the entire day or it’s going to get ugly.

Well, I hope you all have a day where you can keep going!!!

Doing it all …

Chef. Stylist. Chauffeur. Personal assistant. Secretary. Office manager. Pick-up AND delivery girl. Banker. Travel agent. And automobile sales (new and used) consultant. I think that pretty much sums up my last four hours. I have to admit, I’m a little scared to see what my afternoon brings.

Well, I hope you all have a day where you DO IT ALL!!!

Stealing a moment for myself …

In the midst of my crazy life today I managed to take a few minutes to just sit on a bench showered in the perfect mixture of sun and shade. I was waiting at the carwash. I sat down and happily crossed off the last thing on my To-Do List. I enjoyed everything about how I felt in that moment. The relief of being done with all of my errands. The warmth of the sun. The cool breeze that complimented the shade. All of it was wonderful. And I just soaked it in. The best part about all of this is that it came at a place that I would never call relaxing or pleasant. But that is what I find so precious about life. It can surprise you with a treasure in the most unlikely of places. And well, I just love it when that happens.

Well, I hope you all have a day where you get to steal a moment for yourself!!!
