We were up for 22 hours yesterday and we were out shopping for about 18 hours of it. We had to eat people! HA! I can’t believe it though. Looking back on our day it didn’t seem that long. Heck, I even think it went by crazy fast! But it was a ton of fun!
Well, I hope you all have a day that goes by in a happy blur!!!
Today was our annual Black Friday shopping extravaganza. This little tradition of mine has been 20 years in the making. At this point I can honestly say that it’s more about the fun we have than it is about the shopping. This morning we were up 1:30 and we just got home a little while ago. This will go down as one of the longest shopping days we have ever had! But as usual it was a BLAST and we did get a lot of shopping done. Which is great! But for me, the best part of today will be the memories we made and the laughter we shared. It is those moments that have kept this tradition alive.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you keep it going!!!
I. LOVE. THANKSGIVING. It is my favorite holiday and the days leading up to it are always filled with a great energy. With my big kids coming home from college and the plans we have to spend with our family and friends, I am beside myself with excitement! I am SO thankful for all of them! And let’s not forget our Black Friday tradition. We ALWAYS have a blast! It’s like a whole week of celebrating and it begins NOW!
Well, I hope you all have a day where you get your party started!!!
Another year of our traditional Black Friday shopping has left us with great memories of hysterical laughing.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you had a BLAST!
I am comfy cozy at home with my family, drinking my tea after a long day (15 hours to be exact) enjoying our traditional Black Friday shopping day. We have the best time every year. It’s one of those days I can pretty much guarantee I will be spending most of it laughing. It is truly one of my favorite family traditions. We are usually pretty sleep deprived Black Friday and as the hours pass we get quite kooky. Perhaps that’s what adds to all the funny that’s found throughout our day. And by the end of the day, I can tell you that absolutely nothing feels better than having a nice warm shower and passing out on the couch. Yep, from beginning to end, this is one of my most favorite days of the year.
Well, I hope you all had a great day!!!
I made a promise to myself that I would have all the little Thanksgiving errands finished up, along with getting our house in order, by this evening. I know I have a whole week before Thanksgiving, but I really want to just enjoy the next 10 days. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I love when my kids are on school breaks so this is one of my favorite weeks of the year. I like to leisurely add to our decorations, bake, pick up around the house and go food shopping without the nagging stress of all the little things.
We are kicking off this 10-day fun fest with Reese’s Kindergarden Feast tomorrow. LOVE! Then we have a mini RUN-cation planned for my son George and I. I have a race on Saturday and he is volunteering at it for community service hours. So we will be staying overnight in San Diego. Sidney flies home Wednesday, which has me THRILLED! I can’t wait to see her! And then we have our annual Henry Thanksgiving Day Extravaganza, HA! We have so much FUN! Of course you can’t forget our annual Black Friday shopping tradition, which also includes a virtual 5K this year too. And a medal! TOO FUNNY! This will be Libs second year out with Sid and I. I am so excited! I wasn’t sure Libs was convinced that getting up at 1:30 in the morning to shop for hours on end was much fun last year. But she says she is ALL IN!
We also have some other family fun stuff planned too, so suffice it to say, that I am really looking forward to the next 10 days. And it was totally worth exhausting myself over the past three days to be able to enjoy it the way I had hoped.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you get it all done!!!
Thanksgiving break for G3, Libs and Reese starts Friday. My race is on Saturday. Sid flys home the following Wednesday. My favorite holiday is the day after that, when I get to spend time with my family and friends at our annual Thanksgiving Extravaganza. And then, it’s Black Friday.
I. May. Burst. Eeeee!
Well, I hope you all have a day where you are SUPER EXCITED!!!
