It went smoothly …

Today was the first day of school for Libs and Reese. And it went great! Reese rocked her first time through the valet drop-off line and had a wonderful day at school playing with her friends. She has a new teacher for the first time in three years and she handled it like a champ. I’m so proud of her! Although Libs now has a (mom-loathing) zero period, she had an awesome day. She loves all of her classes and has a bunch with her friends. Tennis went fantastic too! Her team beat a school that they hadn’t beaten in five years. WHOA! know that I probably won’t be able to say that every day will go this well for them, but I am sure going to appreciate it now.

Well, I hope you all had a day where it all went smoothly!!!

A great day …

We all have good days and bad days. I have a hard time staying fixated on the bad ones. It’s not that I dismiss them. I don’t! I find them invaluable. I feel like they make my good days, better. I guess I just find it easy to not get stuck in the thoughts of a bad day. I don’t expect them reoccur the next day or to have lasting negative effects. I see them more like a snapshot in time. And I use them as a measure to help me appreciate my good days even more.

Well, I hope you all have a great day!!!

Out of the ordinary …

Happy Easter everyone!

Today was definitely NOT our typical Easter. We have so much going on in our lives right now and so many changes happening that we were all OK not doing our typical Easter celebration. I have to say that I was super skeptical and worried that it wouldn’t feel like Easter if we didn’t do our norm. But I was wrong! Changing it up lead to a FANTASTIC day! Whoda thunk?!?!

Well, I hope you all had a day that was out of the ordinary!!!

A great Black Friday …

I am comfy cozy at home with my family, drinking my tea after a long day (15 hours to be exact) enjoying our traditional Black Friday shopping day. We have the best time every year. It’s one of those days I can pretty much guarantee I will be spending most of it laughing. It is truly one of my favorite family traditions. We are usually pretty sleep deprived Black Friday and as the hours pass we get quite kooky. Perhaps that’s what adds to all the funny that’s found throughout our day. And by the end of the day, I can tell you that absolutely nothing feels better than having a nice warm shower and passing out on the couch. Yep, from beginning to end, this is one of my most favorite days of the year.

Well, I hope you all had a great day!!!
