Reese and Libs’ birthdays are coming up quick. With the long weekend ahead we decided to get a jump on celebrating. We planned a little trip and I intend on adding a few surprises along the way.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you get on the road again!!!
Maybe it’s being a mom. Perhaps it’s my education in social work, nutrition and wellness. Maybe the yogi I have become? The runner? The crier? Maybe it’s my bleeding heart? Or maybe it’s that I’VE BEEN THERE. Or if I haven’t, I can certainly empathize with BEING THERE. My first instinct, when I see that someone is in pain, or questioning something that they don’t understand or struggling to figure something out, is to lift them up. NOT tear them down. Happily, I see a lot of good in people. But I also see a lot of bad. I really don’t like the latter. I understand that our world and the people who live in it are not perfect. And I do not feel that we all need to operate the same way to respect one another. But when someone is trying (REALLY REALLY TRYING) to better themselves or if they are in need there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to be anything but helpful. It’s called being human. And when we do THAT right, we are capable of being a POSITIVE influence in someone’s life who might really need it. And that is just pretty darn awesome.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you are kind and encouraging!!!
I’m so thankful for the people who really go out of their way for me. The ones who lend me a hand even when I don’t say I need it. They always seem to go above and beyond and have a heart of gold.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you are helpful!!!
Today was the first day of school for Libs and Reese. And it went great! Reese rocked her first time through the valet drop-off line and had a wonderful day at school playing with her friends. She has a new teacher for the first time in three years and she handled it like a champ. I’m so proud of her! Although Libs now has a (mom-loathing) zero period, she had an awesome day. She loves all of her classes and has a bunch with her friends. Tennis went fantastic too! Her team beat a school that they hadn’t beaten in five years. WHOA! know that I probably won’t be able to say that every day will go this well for them, but I am sure going to appreciate it now.
Well, I hope you all had a day where it all went smoothly!!!
Today was Libs and Reese’s last day of summer break. Meals were prepped. Their clothes are picked out. And their backpacks are by the door. I guess there is nothing left to do than bid this summer adieu.
Well, I hope you all had a day where you got ready!!!
I woke up insanely early again this morning. I can get used to this. I actually have to, HA! With school starting soon for Libs and Reese, my workouts will be back at the “undead” hours again. Not that I mind it, I actually prefer it. I love the quiet of the early morning. It truly is my ME time. And I think, after all these years of the back-to-school schedule changes, that my body just naturally switches back to that “clock”. So instead of fighting to fall back to sleep this morning I made myself some coffee, wrote emails, reviewed and added events to our calendars, finalized everything for my (hopefully soon to be) Yoga Instructor Certification and worked on the details to a few trips we have planned. And I got it all done with no interruptions. Because let’s face it, most of the earth is still asleep that early on a Sunday morning.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you drink coffee and feel productive!!!
I stayed up late last night and woke up ridiculously early this morning. To be precise, I was up after midnight and somehow managed to wake up at 4 a.m. Three hours before my alarm was set to go off. THREE. We have a busy schedule ahead of us so I really hope that this energy stays with me for the entire day or it’s going to get ugly.
Well, I hope you all have a day where you can keep going!!!
