Exploring my options …

Today someone helped me think of a few things that I had never thought of before. And it may change the course of some things I’ve ready set in motion. I think …

Well, I hope you all had a day where you explored your options!!!

Airing my dirty laundry …

Last week, knowing that we had a busy five days ahead of us, I did my best to wash all of our unclean clothing. And boy oh boy, I sure am glad that I did. I cannot even imagine what I would have been facing had I not done all of it last week. Piles … LOTS! It looked like an ugly oasis of colorful cloth spread out ahead of me. My conclusion after today’s frenzy of washing and drying is that someone really needs to invent throw away clothes.

Well, I hope you all have a day where air your dirty laundry!!!

Tennis, P90X and one proud mom …

Some days my kiddos just impress the heck out of me. Today G3 started P90X all on his own and Libs tackled her first day of tennis camp in this crazy heat. Neither tasks were easy to accomplish but they did it! Even after feeling the magnitude of the challenges they have chosen to tackle, both kids still remain eager to keep with their summer fitness goals. Gotta love their determination!

Well, I hope you all have day where you are proud!!!

Happy and sweaty …

YIPPIE, it is officially SUMMER! The calendar says so and it doesn’t lie. It is SUMMER SOLSTICE! My FAVORITE! And it’s SWELTERING! Melt the soles of your running shoes HOT! It … is … AWESOME!

Well, I hope you all have a day where you are happy and sweaty!!!

A really cool guy …

Happy Father’s Day everyone! My dad was a unique soul. A rock musician most of his life, then a photographer after becoming blind. Yep, you read that right … BLIND! He was still able to see some light after a rare ocular melanoma and subsequent surgery took his sight. He described his remaining sight as if he was looking through a clear shower curtain with Vaseline smeared all over it. My dad loved photography but never thought it would be an option for him again, but it was! He persevered and began photographing what he could see, shadows, light and darkness. The results were simply amazing. Sadly my dad passed away a few years after being diagnosed and losing his sight. I am thankful that he didn’t let his disability stop him from seeing the beauty in the world around him and that he was so willing to share his perspective with others. His legacy remains one he can certainly be proud of. I know that I sure am.

Well, I hope you all have a day where you celebrate a really cool guy!!!

Spiderwebs (ew) …

Because I’m early morning runner there is something that I do that I believe contributes to the success of all the other runners in my neighborhood. It’s really like a public service and something they should be incredibly thankful for … because it’s downright icky.

Well, I hope you all have a day where you don’t run through a BAZILLION spiderwebs (ew)!!!

Writing my own epic adventure …

I love the quote, “Every summer has a story”. And I couldn’t agree more with it. Every summer of my life I’ve had at least one memorable story. One moment or experience that made that particular summer unique to all the others. When summer comes there is an excitement that washes over me. Summer truly is like writing the next book in a great series. I simply cannot wait to figure out what will be on the next page and to find out what happens to all the characters I have come to know and love.

Well, I hope you all have a day where you write your own epic adventure!!!
