Well, I ran the Revel Canyon City Half marathon today. And by some miracle I was able to run it in under two hours. I honestly thought I would finish around 2:02. It was a downhill race but it had two fairly challenging up-hill miles so I was trying to be realistic with my pace. And for the record, I DID NOT do well in those miles. I haven’t been running a 9:00 pace per mile on any consisted basis since my injury in June. I even started today with the 2:10 pacer. I thought a sub-2 pace was possible but not at all a guarantee. But just as I passed the 12 mile marker I caught up with the 2:00 pacer. He is the only person I spoke to the whole race. “FINALLY, I caught you!” He smiled at me
and said, “Great job, now keep it up!” … and I did. My finishing time was 1:57:43 … and I simply couldn’t be happier.
Well, I hope you all have a day that is EVERYTHING you hoped it would be!!!
